The Harvest School of Prayer (developed by Pastor Simon Mbevi of Mavuno Church-Nairobi) has become a powerful tool in helping groups and individuals in the body of Christ in the noble act of prayer. Participants begin to take the God-given authority over their marriages, children, relationships, work place, neighborhoods and their country.

What happens when people pray? We have seen fruit in the following areas:

    * Participants make prayer a priority and an integral part of their lives
    * Members keep each other accountable through prayer partners assigned during the training
    * Time is set aside one day in a week to fast and pray
    * Participants develop concern to reach out to others in family, neighborhood and workplace
    * Prayer and intercession is made for our national leaders
    * Participants implement Gideon's action; family outreach and intercession
    * Prayer walks are carried out in residential areas (the scene of our Lifegroups)
    * The discipline of keeping a prayer journal is fostered
    * Participants begin to teach others about prayer


Implementation of all these happens at an individual level but also in partnership with your prayer partners.

The church benefits as of those who go through the ten weeks of training become part of the intercessory team and foster growth of the Counselling ministry.

Our Life groups (small groups) benefit because prayer enhances fellowship.
